Large goiters - case 765

Clinical data: A 41-year-old man was referred for aspiration cytology. First, he was examined for nodular goiter 9 years ago when FNA resulted in benign colloid goiter from a nodule with a 21-mm maximal diameter. Recently, cytology was repeated because the nodule has been grown to 42 mm. This time FNA was non-diagnostic.

Palpation: a not firm nodule in the right lobe.

Laboratory data: TSH 1.47 mIU/L.
