Clinical presentation. A thyroid nodule was discovered in a 59-year-old man on routine examination prior to a cholecystectomy.

Palpation: a firm nodule in the left lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.94 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the left lobe.
