Clinical presentation. During a thyroid examination for obesity, a nodule was found in the left thyroid lobe of a 38-year-old woman. Scintigraphy revealed reduced nodular function. The patient was referred for aspiration cytology.
Palpation: no abnormality.
Laboratory test: TSH 3.32 mIU/L, aTPO 0 U/mL.
Lesion in question:
the nodular area composed of two solid lesions next to each other in the left lobe.
