Clinical presentation. A 61-year old woman noticed a lump in her right thyroid 3 years ago. A thyroid carcinoma had been diagnosed recently in her neighbor which initiated our patient to have a thyroid examination done.

Palpation: a firm nodule in the right lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.18 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the left lobe.
