Clinical presentation: a 39-year-old woman requested a follow-up investigation because of diffuse complaints suggesting thyroid dysfunction. First I met the patient 11 years ago when a benign nodule was diagnosed in the right lobe. The follow-up examinations were performed in another institute where another nodule in the isthmus was diagnosed 3 years ago. Cytology of this lesion also resulted in benign lesion.

Palpation: a firm nodule in the isthmus.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.08 mIU/L.
