Clinical presentation: A 70-year-old woman was referred for aspiration cytology. She has been operated on colon cancer for 8 months. A thyroid lesion proved to be positive on PET-CT scan.

Palpation: no abnormality.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.70 mIU/l.

Cytology resulted in benign lesion.

Diagnosis. Euthyroidism. Discrete lesion in the thyroid without oncological significance.

Suggestion: ultrasound in 5 years.
