Follicular carcinoma presents microfollicular and lymphocytic
thyroiditis a mixed micro-normofollicular proliferation. There is no
difference regarding the atypia. The only cytological sign which raises
the possibility of thyroiditis in the right case is the presence of
nuclear debris.
