Clinical presentation: A 49-year-old woman was referred for aspiration cytology. She was diagnosed having a multinodular goiter on evaluation of weight loss and palpitation.

Palpation: Both lobes had an elastic nodule.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.35 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the left lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 14x13x21 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
