Clinical presentation: A 67-year-old woman was referred for primary tumor search as a metastatic lesion had been found in her spine (thoracic 5). Numerous tests including full-body CT scan failed to detect any primary tumor.

Palpation: a firm nodule in the left lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 0.40 mIU/L, FT4 14.7 pM/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the lower pole of the right lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 10x7x10 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
