Clinical presentation: A 52-year-old woman was referred for ethanol sclerotherapy. Her cystic nodule was three times drawn off but recurred within weeks and caused compression signs. Cytology resulted in non diagnostic cystic fluid.

Palpation: an elastic nodule in the isthmus.

Laboratory test: TSH-level 1.76 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the isthmus.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 29x11x32 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
