Clinical presentation: A 69-year-old woman visited us because of a multinodular goiter known for more than 20 years. She declined to undergo detailed examinations that time. Recently, her neighbor was found harboring thyroid carcinoma which urged the patient to initiate thyroid evaluation.
Palpation: a firm nodule in the left lobe.
Laboratory test: TSH 0.44 mIU/L.
Lesion in question:
the nodule in the left lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 27x20x30 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: absent.
Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
