Right lobe, longitudinal scan

Right lobe, longitudinal view. This is a pathognomonic pattern of macroscopic extrathyroidal spread of a thyroid tumor. Such unequivocal example can be seen very rarely. It is worth noting the distance between the most ventral surface of the nodule (yellow arrows) and the most ventral surface of the lobe (red arrows).
