Intranodular hyperechogenic figures - case 1539 (ultrasonographic picture 5)

Left lobe, transverse view. The ventral lesion contains a hyperechogenic figure. Theoretically, this might correspond either to two microcalcifications or one comet-tail artifact. If we take the pattern of the contralateral lobe into account, this figure must be a comet-tail artifact.
