Intranodular hyperechogenic figures - case 608 (ultrasonographic picture 2)

Previous picture Back to Case Next picture

Right lobe, longitudinal view. There are large, irregular hyperechogenic figures within the solid area. The origin of these structures is equivocal, they might represent thick connective tissue. Behind the dorsal one (lowest in the image), there is an acoustic shadow. In contrast with coarse calcification this shadow does not reach the dorsal surface of the image.
