Extrathyroidal spread - case 1270 (cytologic picture 6)

Pap-smear, 1000x.   This is pathognomonic pattern: there are atypical polygonal tumor cells with abundant cytoplasm and an absolutely irregular chromatin structure. There is a mitotic cell in the center of the image.
