Extrathyroidal spread - case 2128 (ultrasonographic picture 4b)

Right lobe, longitudinal scan. It is evident that the nodule presents bulging. The perimeter between the arrowheads corresponds to the abutting contour of the nodule. This is between 50 and 100% compared with the half of the perimeter of the nodule (the perimeter between the arrows). It means that the tumor abutment is between 25-50%.
