Left lobe, longitudinal scan. This is the so-called starry sky presentation of papillary carcinoma: numerous bright granules (microcalcifications) are within a hypoechogenic background. This is also an example of invasive borders, the borders of the tumor cannot be clearly determined, there are isolated microcalcifications relatively far from the central core.
