Extrathyroidal spread - case conp 033 (ultrasonographic picture 5)

Left lobe, transverse scan. There is a hyperechogenic nodule displaying halo sign. The echo pattern of the extranodular part of the lobe is identical to that seen in the right thyroid. The contour is abutting and the capsule of the lobe is invisible in the medial part of the tumor.
