Graves' disease - case 169 (ultrasonographic picture 6)

Left lobe, longitudinal scan. The irregular area which contains bright granules has irregular shape. Considering the patient' history, it is very unlikely that this would be a pathological nodule. This small structure is very likely an artifact caused by the surgery. In my opinion, this is the remnant of surgical thread.
