Lymphocytic thyroiditis - case 502 (ultrasonographic picture 4)

Left lobe, transverse view. There is a relatively large hypoechogenic area in the ventromedial part of the lobe. Neither the shape, nor the borders nor the echopattern correspond to a true nodule.
