Left lobe, transverse scan. There is a hypoechogenic mass which borders cannot be clearly defined. Note that the nodule presents all three possible signs which might suggest extrathyroidal extension: abutment, bulging and discontinuation of the thyroid capsule. The extent of bulging is particularly high.
