Thyroid cancers - case 1467 (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Right lobe, transverse scan. There are two hypoechogenic areas divided by echonormal parts. Macroscopic pathology disclosed that the ventral, smaller hypoechogenic area corresponded to direct extracapsular spread of the tumor.
