Study on 100 consecutive patients with thyroid nodule - case 011 (ultrasonographic picture 2)

Lower part of the right lobe, transverse view. A larger, moderately hypoechogenic lesion and a smaller, partly cystic area were found in the lower third of the lobe. We may have doubt whether the former would be a discrete lesion, however the following longitudinal scan decides the issue.
