Clinical presentation: A 41-year-old woman came to a follow-up. She has been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis for seven years. No replacement therapy was adjusted. She gave birth five months ago. Six weeks before the present examination the TSH was 92.5 mIU/L. At that time, we suggested a check and we did not give any medicine either. By the time of the current visit, she was feeling significantly better, the high degree of fatigue was gone, 8 kg of the 20 kg extra weight was lost.

Palpation: The right lobe was palpable and firm. No nodule was found.

Laboratory test: TSH 14.4 mIU/L, FT4 11.6 pM/L.

Diagnosis. Diagnosis. Post partum thyroiditis - hypothyroid phase.

Suggestion: continuation of regular TSH determination, next time in 6 months.
