Discrete lesion or nodule in Hashimoto's thyroiditis - case 19 (502) (ultrasonographic picture 4)

Left lobe, transverse view. There is a relatively large hypoechogenic area in the ventromedial part of the lobe. Neither the shape, nor the borders nor the echopattern correspond to a true nodule.
