Clinical data

Clinical presentation: A 54-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of a nodular goiter which has been discovered by carotid Doppler examination.

Palpation: the right lobe was a bit enlarged, a non-firm nodule could be palpated within.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.88 mIU/L.

Dimensions of the lesions to which the question are directed:

nodule 1: 13x9x18 mm, nodule 2: 9x7x10 mm (width, depth, length, respectively).
