H.-E. smear, 400x. There is an intranuclear inclusion which is not an infrequent finding in medullary cancer. Nevertheless, in contrast with a papillary cancer, nuclear inclusions occur only very rarely in great proportion of cells. Moreover, the presented hole may be an artifact, a projection of a bubble seen elsewhere in the smear.
