Intranodular hyperechogenic figures - case 624 (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Right lobe, transverse view. There is a large cystic nodule having numerous comet-tail artifacts. This is a very important image: we can learn that the presentation of this hyperechogenic figure varies greatly. Beside the typical presentation, comet-tail artifact might appear as a small round granule or line without a tail.
