The operated thyroid - case 321 (ultrasonographic picture 2)

Previous picture Back to Case Next picture

Right lobe, longitudinal scan

Right lobe, longitudinal scan. The pattern resembles a thyroid nodule: a hypoechogenic central area is surrounded with echonormal parts. Indeed, this is a typical presentation of an operated thyroid. The difference in echogenicity may be explained by differences in vascular supply.
