Right lobe, longitudinal scan

Left lobe, transverse view. There is a mixed nodule which presents blurred and irregular borders. Note that the borders between the nodule and the muscle fiber are indistinctive and the lesion shows all three types of a possible extrathyroidal spread: bulging and abutting contours and discontinuation of the capsule.
