Thyroid cancers - case 908 (cytologic picture 5 of another smear)

Right lobe, longitudinal scan

Pap-staining, 400x.  Note the presence of nuclear inclusions. Two single cell necrosis can be detected - one in the left and one in the lower part of the picture. This phenomenon occurs only exceptionally even in thyroid malignancies.
