Clinical presentation: A 39-year-old woman visited us for a follow-up examination. She has been treated for hypothyroidism for 11 years.
Palpation: no abnormality.
Ultrasonography. The thyroid was atrophic, moderately hypoechogenic, inhomogeneous and presented with extensive fibrosis. The vascularization was average.
Hormonal investigation: euthyroidism on daily 125 microgram levothyroxine (TSH 1.78 mIU/L). The aTPO was 849 U/mL 11 years ago.
Suggestion: daily 125 microgram levothyroxine, TSH determination in one year, in the event of pregnancy at once.
