Clinical presentation: A 60-year-old woman was referred for follow-up of hypothyroidism. She has been treated for hypothyroidism for more than 10 years.
Palpation: Both lobes were firm. There was a more firm nodule in the lateral part of the left lobe.
Laboratory test: TSH 1.59 mIU/L on daily 112.5 microgram levothyroxine.
Ultrasound. The thyroid was atrophic and presented the so-called honey-combing pattern. There were no nodules in pathological sense.
Suggestion. To continue with daily 112.5 microgram levothyroxine.
