Discrete lesion or nodule in Hashimoto's thyroiditis - case 33 (1650) (ultrasonographic picture 3)

Right lobe, another transverse scan. The lesion in the central part of the lobe might be a true nodule, it presents echogenic figures caused by posterior enhancement. The deeply hypoechogenic, largest area is very likely not a nodule in pathological sense but a more active focus of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
