Clinical presentation: A 42-year-old man was referred for evaluation of a hypothyroidism which was discovered on evaluation of repeated stillbirth.
Palpation. No abnormality.
Laboratory test: TSH 6.51 mIU/L, FT4 13.2 pM/L, aTPO 209 U/mL.
Ultrasonography. The thyroid was minimally hypoechogenic. There were no discrete lesions within.
Diagnosis. Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Subclinical hypothyroidism. Daily 50 microgram levothyroxine was suggested.
