Upper part of the right lobe, longitudinal scan. The connective tissue causes an insertion marked with red arrow in the ventral surface of the thyroid. This insertion is followed by a hypoechogenic line which may correspond to the acoustic shadow of a coarsely calcified focus. The insertion and the hypoechogenic line makes the appearance of the thyroid nodular. Nevertheless, thorough analysis of the images and the video reveals that these lesions are not nodules in a pathological sense.
