Subacute granulomatous de Quervain's thyroiditis - Case 12. (ultrasonographic picture 4)

Left lobe, horizontal scan. The dorsal part of the lobe is hypoechogenic. Note that the borders between echonormal and hypoechogenic parts are not blurred but sharp. The lobe was affected by the inflammation initially, and at the time of present examination this lobe was already not painful.
