Anaplastic carcinoma - Case 1. (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Left lobe, horizontal view. A large hypoechogenic nodule occupies almost the entire left thyroid. There are irregular echonormal patches within the nodule. These correspond to necrosis. The thin echonormal rim outside the nodule corresponds to intact thyroid parenchyma.
