Left lobe, horizontal scan. Three hyperechogenic lesions which form a larger lesion resembling a nodule. Above, below and within this nodule-like area the thyroid is hypoechogenic. Although the US picture is almost identical with a true nodule, in fact, the patient had no nodules within the thyroid. These hyperechogenic lesions turned to be normal pseudolobules of the lobe. Note that the size of these lobules is in the range of 10-12 mm.
