Right lobe, longitudinal view. There are large hypoechogenic field corresponding to the underlying Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It is equivocal whether these lesions are signs of an underlying Hashimoto's thyroiditis or they are nodules in a pathological sense. The irregular shape of these lesions decreases the possibility of being these areas nodules in a pathological sense.
