Cinical data: a 68-year-old woman was referred for an evaluation of a nodular goiter known for 6 months.

Palpation: a hard nodule in the isthmus.

Functional state: euthyroidism (TSH-level 1.08 mIU/L, FT4 12.8 pM/L).

 

Three foci of papillary carcinoma are demonstrated

the large nodule in the isthmus (22/1)

the small with bright intranodular figure (22/2),

a medium-sized in the inthmus (22/3).
