Clinical data: a 38-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of 'lump in the throat' feeling and complaints suggesting hyperthyroidism. She lost 8 kg in weight in a month.

Palpation: a not firm nodule in the right lobe.

Hormonal evaluation indicated euthyroidism (TSH 1.67 mIU/L, FT4 13,9 pM/L).

Ultrasonography. The thyroid was echonormal. There were multiple moderately lesions in the right lobe. The largest one had non-specific intranodular hyperechogenic granules, halo sign and both perinodular and intranodular blood flow.

Cytology resulted in benign colloid goiter.
