An intact thyroid is demonstrated which contains a papillary carcinoma in the ventral part. It is worthy of note the non-nodular part of the thyroid. A normal healthy thyroid is not homogeneous. The follicles vary in size and corresponding to dilated follicles large chambers can be found. The presence of connective tissue makes the cutting surface inhomogeneous. |
