The lobe is composed of several nodules. Two white lesions are demonstrated in the macroscopic image within a normal thyroid. The largest cystic lesion in the ultrasound image corresponds o the largest cystic nodule in macroscopic photo. It is worth to note that the non-nodular part of the thyroid is in deed not homogeneous. Click here to ENLARGE.
