Clinical presentation: A 66-year-old woman referred for evaluation of an elevated parathormone level.

Palpation: Both lobes were nodular. The left lobe had a firm nodule.

Laboratory test: TSH 2.50 mIU/L. Parathormone 162.2 pg/mL, calcium 2.07 mM/L, phosphate 1.1 mM/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the left lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 9x10x11 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: present.

Intranodular vascularization: present.

Pathologic adenopathy: present.
