Clinical presentation: A 71-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of a nodule discovered on carotid Doppler examination.

Palpation: a moderately firm nodule in the left lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 0.23 mIU/L, FT4 16.9 pM/L, FT3 4.03 pM/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the left lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 12x8x16 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
