Clinical presentation: A 44-year-old woman was treated by methimazole for Graves` disease 4 years ago. The TSAb level was at this time elevated (10.7 U/L). Six weeks prior to the present visit she has had a temporary elevation of FT4 level which has spontaneously resolved. She came to routine follow-up examination.

Palpation: There was a firm nodule in the right thyroid.

Laboratory test: TSH 0.09 mIU/L, FT4 19.1 pM/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the right lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 17x15x18 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: present.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
