Clinical presentation: A 43-year-old man requested a third opinion. A thyroid nodule had been discovered on screening. The patient visited previously two endocrinology units and FNA was performed twice. The first was `suspicious` (Bethesda 4) while the second was benign (Bethesda 2).

Palpation: a not firm nodule in the left lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 1.13 mIU/L.

Lesion in question:

the smaller nodule in the ventromedial part of the left lobe.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 9x6x11 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
