Clinical presentation: A 56-year-old man was referred for ethanol sclerotherapy. He was discovered harboring an enlarged right thyroid lobe causing already difficulties in swallowing. Aspiration cytology resulted in benign colloid goiter. Ha was an actor and therefore his endocrinologist offered sclerotherapy instead of surgery.

Palpation: an enlarged nodular RIGHT thyroid lobe.

Laboratory test: TSH 0.17 mIU/L, FT4 13,2 pM/L.

Lesion in question:

the nodule in the upper part of the LEFT lobe. The nodule in question is targeted on US-guided aspiration at the end of the video.

Additional information on the lesion

Dimensions (width x depth x length): 9x8x9 mm.

Taller-than wide sign present: absent.

Intranodular vascularization: absent.

Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
