Clinical presentation: A 59-year-old man was referred for aspiration cytology of a thyroid nodule known for decades. The goiter caused tracheal compression.
Palpation: a large firm nodule in the right lobe and in the isthmus.
Laboratory test: TSH 3.83 mIU/L.
Lesion in question:
the larger lesion in the right lobe.
Additional information on the lesion
Dimensions (width x depth x length): 58x31x66 mm.
Taller-than wide sign present: absent.
Intranodular vascularization: present.
Pathologic adenopathy: absent.
